IT Funk er Norges forskningsråds prosjekt "IT for funksjonshemmede"
Universell utforming og tilgjengelighet for alle
IT Funk skal bidra til at mennesker med nedsatt funksjonsevne får bedre tilgang til informasjons- og kommunikasjonsteknologi og
derigjennom til samfunnet. IKT-baserte produkter og tjenester som utvikles for det allmenne markedet skal kunne brukes av alle,
med minst mulig ekstra bryderi og utgifter. Prosjekter som gir økt tilgjengelighet til utdanning/opplæring og arbeid blir prioritert.

Nytt europeisk samarbeid om nyskapende og nyttige IKT-baserte løsninger for eldre: AAL-programmet 2008-2013
I 2008 starter ett nytt 6-årig europeiske teknologi- og innovasjonsprogram kalt AAL: Ambient Assisted Living. Visjonen for programmet er ”Ageing well in the information society”. I tillegg til målet om økt livskvalitet for eldre, skal programmet styrke europeisk næringslivs evne og vilje til å frambringe nyskapende IKT-baserte løsninger som bidrar til at eldre kan leve et aktivt og selvstendig liv lengst mulig.AAL er et samarbeidsprogram mellom 23 land, og det er åpent for nye partnerland. AAL er organisert på siden av EUs 7.rammeprogram for FoU, men har en tematisk tilknytning til dette. AAL vil støtte prosjekter med 2-3 års varighet. Prosjektene må ha partnere fra minst 3 av de land som deltar i AAL, og det kreves aktiv medvirkning fra relevante brukere.
Deltakelsen kanaliseres gjennom relevante nasjonale programmer i de land som er partnere i AAL. I tillegg kommer et betydelig økonomisk bidrag fra EU. Norge deltar gjennom IT Funk, og Nærings- og handelsdepartementet har øremerket sin bevilgning til IT Funk for norsk deltakelse i AAL. Hvert lands økonomiske bidrag er øremerket det egne lands prosjektdeltakere.
Programmets første utlysning (Call 1) ble offentliggjort 25.april med søknadsfrist 21.august 2008. Utlysningen finnes på nettsiden www.aal-europe.eu/AAL-2008-1
Temaet for denne utlysningen er IKT-baserte løsninger for forebygging og håndtering av kroniske tilstander blant eldre: ”ICT-based Solutions for Prevention and Management of Chronic Conditions of Elderly People”.
Arbeidsprogrammet for AAL omfatter følgende områder:
- Helse- og helserelaterte tjenester i og til hjemmet (området for Call 1)
- Mobilitet
- Sosial interaksjon
- Informasjon og læring
- Trygghet, sikkerhet og rett til privatliv
- Formidling av varer og tjenester
- Fritid og hobby
Neste utlysning vil komme første kvartal 2009, og den vil gjelde punktene 2,3 og 4 i arbeidsprogrammet.

| Eligible Institutions | Universities and higher education institutions, public research organisations, companies (commercial enterprises - especially SMEs) and public service organisations established in Norway with AAL relevant activities are eligible to apply for funding. Other types of Norwegian institutions with AAL relevant activities may participate as subcontractors for eligible Norwegian participants. |
| Eligibility criteria | General eligibility criteria and conditions for receiving project funding from the Research Council of Norway will apply (i.e. the recipient must be a registered legal entity, demonstrate financial viability, and provide transparency as to funding requested or received from other sources).
Eligible costs will be according to general criteria and guidelines for project funding from the Research Council of Norway and specific guidelines for the IT Funk programme. If there would be more than one (eligible) Norwegian participant in a project, one of them will have to act as coordinator for all Norwegian participants in the national funding contract. The Research Council of Norway will then make all payments to the national coordinator, who will be responsible for distributing the financial support among the Norwegian participants (on terms stated in the national funding contract) and for the technical and financial reporting. |

1 Please note: The amount stated stems from the national budget only. The European co-funding of 25 Mio € in total for this call will finally be assigned to those countries with participants in the recommended proposals. Thus, a proportionate increase of the amount will take place - depending on the success of participants from the specific country.
